Dorothy Dickmann is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Data Science at the University of Austin. She works at the intersection of securities regulation and financial reporting, specializing in using large language models to transform large volumes of unstructured data into structured, research-quality datasets. She has worked as a researcher for Dewey Data, a research data platform, and as a financial statement auditor at the accounting firm PwC. Dorothy is a CPA, holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Accounting from Auburn University, and earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
